I am actually going to head to my parent's cottage tonight after work. So that means I will not be changing the Daily Inspirational message until at least Monday.

Have a great weekend.

thought for the day

A friend of mine just sent this to me via email and I thought I would share it here.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away.

Crocheting..finally

I did manage to get 3 more bearghans completed over the weekend. The one, I just had to adjust the nose on.
Now I am on to the top for myself that hopefully I will get done by the fall...LOL

An introduction to the zoo

I thought I would introduce my zoo to you since I am not crocheting that much anymore.
This is Magic. She is the guard dog.

This is Bugz. This is my brother's dog who is staying with us for a while.

This is Sassy. She is the Queen B^&*h. She is 10 years old.

And here is Patches. She is approximately 7 years old.

The grey and white one is Mittens. Mittens is approximately 5 years old and is Patches' daughter.

And my boy, Boots. Boots is Mittens' brother.

Missy is almost 2 years old.

And the baby of the bunch is Teddy Bear. He is 18 months old and is also one of Patches' kittens.

Here is Smokie...this is the mommy rabbit. I believe she is about 10 months old.

Hard to see in this pic but there are 3 baby bunnies in the cage with Smokie. I haven't named them because they are not all staying. They are 7 weeks old.

Road Trip.

I went to check out a yarn store in Port Perry yesterday. The store is called "Never Enough Wool". I just love the name of the store.
The owner, Carol, was really nice and we chatted for a while. You know, of course, that I just had to buy something. I bought 3 skeins of Butterfly Cotton is a really pretty coral colour and 2 skeins of Kertzer On Your Toes bamboo in a soft pink colour. I thought the pink would make a beautiful baby dress. The coral cotton I have already started making a top for myself. I am making the Trellis Tunic that is in the April/May 2007 edition of Crochet Today!

Yeah! Something for me! This top will probably take me a while to make since my crochet time has been dramatically reduced since I started working full time again. Oh well, I don't really need it until the fall anyways.
I also bought a row counter that you just push a button on the top. Pretty kewl. The round row counters just don't work for me since the cats seem to take off with them when I am about 20 rows into my work.

Finally

Here is the second pineapple top that I made.

Another view.

This is Teddy's new spot. Right on top of the bunnies cage.

Here's a close up of one of the babies. They are just over 6 weeks old now.

That's it for now. It is time for me to go to bed and get rested up for another work week.

TGIF

Happy 4th of July to my American friends. I hope you have a great day!!

I haven't really had alot of free time lately to do my crocheting. I did manage to make a bearghan for a girl at work this week. I have started on another one.

By the time I get home from work and have dinner I am pretty well ready to go to bed...LOL

The bunnies are getting big. They were 6 weeks old yesterday. They are really funny. They get these little bursts of energy that seem to come from nowhere. They will be sleeping and then all of a sudden they jump straight up in the air.

Teddy (the kitten) has taken to sleeping on top of the rabbit cage. It doesn't look all that comfortable to me but I guess it must be.

Anyways, I need to shower and get ready for another day. I do love my new job. The people are really nice and the days just fly by. Hopefully I can find some time to post some pics on the weekend.

Have a great day!

Happy Canada Day!!!

So strange having a holiday in the middle of the week. It's like having two Mondays in one week.
Ugh.
Anyways, the plan for the day is to get some laundry done, steam clean the area rug that got wet when it rained really hard last week. It was in the basement and got a little soggy. So I will steam clean that and hang it on one of the fences to dry out.
The safety boots weren't too bad yesterday but my ankles were killing me by the time I got home last night.
I did manage to finish that top that I was working on the other day. Just have to take a pic and post it. It turned out really well. Hopefully I can wear it later on in the week. I do have to wash and block it first though.
Here's a funny pic for you.
