The Bata Shoe Museum is holding a sock drive on November 13th. They have asked Casting off the Cold to make 20 pairs of socks for this drive. Here is my first pair.

The fall drive for scarves/hats is on. We need approximately 100 scarves by October 20th. Here is the first one.

Tiny baby dresses

Here are two baby dresses that I made for a girl at work. While she was on vacation in Jamaica her sister had twin girls. One was a little over 5 lbs and the other was just under 2 lbs I think.




Now I am on the hunt for crocheted sock patterns. This is not as easy as is sounds folks. There are really not a lot of crocheted sock patterns on the 'net. Wish me luck!

I haven't had any time to do much of anything for the past few days. I did manage to make a few squares over the weekend. I think I managed to get three done. I will post pics when I have a chance.

I plan on starting another top for myself today at lunch.

August 14th squares

August 12th squares

Here they are. The six squares I made today for the FA Awareness Olympics. That brings my grand total to 28 of the 25 that was my goal. LOL

And here are today's squares. That's it for me today. It's starting to thunder. So I am going to take the dogs for a "w", unplug my laptop and printer and turn in.

August 10th squares

I did get 10 squares done yesterday for the Olympics. And I managed to sneak in a nap and an AA meeting. I did not make it to the Casting off the Cold BBQ yesterday afternoon. I wasn't feeling all that great. With the rain and the damp weather, the arthritis kicked in and just made me feel crappy.
I will post a pic of the squares when I get home from work today.
I have my top on today that I finished last week. Hopefully someone will be home when I get home from work to take a pic of me in it....LOL

Squares made August 9th

These are the six squares I managed to accomplish yesterday. Can you imagine how many squares one could make if they didn't have to clean the house, work at being mom's taxi, make dinner, do the dishes and laundry???? Hmmmmm. Maybe I should go on household strike until the Olympics are over. I am not the only one who lives here who is able to vacuum, do dishes, etc. I am, however, the only mom....LOL

When I stood up to get some more yarn from the "store" (downstairs craft area), this is what I saw peeking out from under the coffee table at me. She does have her "cute" moments.

So now that that is finished I have started in on squares for the Crochetville Ancient Greek Olympics games. I am crocheting 8" squares to raise FA Awareness.
I have set a goal of 25 squares. This challenge started today (the beginning of the Olympics in Bejing, China) and will end in 16 days (August 24th).
Okay I need to get some squares done.
I hope to post pics every day of the squares that I have made.
